Family Court Corruption.

Family Court Corruption / Editorial standards

Evidence before publication.

These standards describe the process we intend to apply as reporting is developed.

Identify the source

Cite documents and exact locations. A filed allegation, transcript statement, and court finding are different types of information.

Preserve context

Retain relevant contrary records, responses, dismissals, reversals, and later outcomes.

Protect children and private information

Keep children’s identities and sensitive personal details out of public material. Review redactions before publication.

Review professional claims

Verify identity and source support. Do not publish unsupported accusations as facts. Seek relevant responses when preparing named reporting.

Correct the record

Provide a way to request corrections, record material changes, and update reporting when outcomes change.

Disclose perspective

Identify advocacy and opinion as such. Disclose relevant founder involvement in reporting on the founder’s own litigation.
